It's all about Him, not Me...

A scripture that I found helpful today...
*******************************************************************
"I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me.
The life I live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God,
who loved me and gave Himself for me."
Galations 2:20
********************************************************************
I ask Him today for help in realizing when (& how) to back off and submit to Him and His authority over all things in my life. So that I may experience peace!!

The Old Rugged Cross

My favorite hymn! It humbles me. It puts my heart in it's place & reminds me of my heritage. I was pardoned. I am LOVED. It reminds me that it's not just a story in a book...it's REAL and it's a PROMISE. BEAUTIFUL!!!

THE OLD RUGGED CROSS

On a hill far away stood an old rugged cross,The emblem of suffering and shame; And I love that old cross where the dearest and bestFor a world of lost sinners was slain.

Chorus:
So I’ll cherish the old rugged cross,Till my trophies at last I lay down;I will cling to the old rugged cross,And exchange it some day for a crown.
O that old rugged cross, so despised by the world,Has a wondrous attraction for me;For the dear Lamb of God left His glory aboveTo bear it to dark Calvary.

In that old rugged cross, stained with blood so divine,A wondrous beauty I see,For ’twas on that old cross Jesus suffered and died,To pardon and sanctify me.

To the old rugged cross I will ever be true; Its shame and reproach gladly bear; Then He’ll call me some day to my home far away,Where His glory forever I’ll share.
